Under the direction of Professor Architect Liviu Gligor, the students had prepared their presentations in recent months.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kirchenburgen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_20180227_105701.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6391\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6391 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/kirchenburgen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_20180227_105701-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Pr\u00e4sentationen der Studierenden bei der Stiftung Kirchenburgen\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kirchenburgen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_20180227_105701-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kirchenburgen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/IMG_20180227_105701-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The proposals for using the premises in the fortified churches ranged from small caf\u00e9s and libraries to considerations on the use of the rooms for events. One idea was to furnish a castle keeper&#8217;s flat in its original state and then make it accessible to visitors.<\/p>\n<p>The project involving three fortified churches has been funded by the Ambassador&#8217;s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) with a total of USD 59,300 since May 2017. The US Embassy thus supports the securing work on the three fortified churches of the Evangelic Church of Augustan Confession in Romania.
