A creative one-day workshop in the fortified church of Cincu

What you will do
✓ Hands-on woodworking workshop led by Alex Herberth, carpenter and restorer with 25 years of experience
✓ Working with wood: tools and basic techniques
✓ Guided tour of the fortified church in Cincu
✓ Local lunch and a walk through the village, visiting local attractions (Lolelor Museum, Textile Workshop, Village Museum)
✓ Herbal tea made from local plants and storytelling at the end of the day
What you will learn
- How to split oak logs and produce boards, as it was done in the past
• How to shape wood using traditional tools (adze and broad axe)
• How to straighten and smooth boards using different types of hand planes
• How to cut pieces to the desired size using a hand saw
• Optional: how to create decorative profiles or protect the wood with natural oil

11:00–12:30 First part of the hands-on workshop
12:30–13:30 Lunch in the courtyard of the fortified church
13:30–15:00 Guided tour of the fortified church in Cincu and mini quiz + Lolelor Museum
15:00–18:30 Second part of the workshop
18:30–19:30 Herbal tea and social time in the courtyard of the fortified church
